About the Hogan Ladies

Denise Therese

I was homeschooled from the time I was ten until I graduated high school in 2008. I loved every minute of it. Being home, surrounded by my family, was an experience I would never want to change. Right now, I am a sophomore at Whitefield College, but I plan to transfer to New Saint Andrews College in Moscow, Idaho next year. My greatest desire (besides glorifying God with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength) is to marry and be the godly wife and mother the Lord is calling me to be.

Besides my studies at Whitefield, I enjoy taking an active part in my church, helping prepare the Lord’s Supper and playing the piano on occasion. Most of my time is spent crocheting, but when I have the time, I sew…mostly ballgowns. I dabble in photography, dress in polka dots, and love to dance.

Erica Marie

I am two years younger than Denise, have been homeschooled since I was eight and will graduate from high school by the end of 2010.  Being homeschooled was one of the best things that ever happened to me and I’ve never regretted it. Where I will attend college is uncertain at the moment, but I’m looking into attending college over the internet, like my sister. One day, I would like to either be a Special Ed teacher or an English teacher. My love of writing is such that I think the latter might prevail. ;)

I love to volunteer, especially in ministry. It’s something that I’ve always wanted to do and it’s very rewarding to give the Gospel to others. I help out with the Lord’s Supper at my church, take care of little ones during and after the service.

Reading and writing are my favorite things, besides listening to music, and I am so going to enjoy being an author on this blog!!
