New Goals, Clearance Sales, and Otherwise

From the first, I realized that Etsy would be taking 2nd priority in my life from now on. While I still want to keep my shop running, it will be on a smaller scale than before.

Aye, Ye Matey– I Be the One-Eyed Pirate

*cough* Ahem. Yeeeah.
I got to be a pirate last wednesday, after a terrifying eye procedure, the objective of which was to remove a bothersome stye that had made a home on my lower right eyelid. He was quite content to sit there and glow red, but I’d had enough.
SO I decided to brave the procedure. Well, I cried like a baby. Believe me, when the doctor tells you that there will be a “little” sting for a “few seconds” –DON’T BELIEVE HIM. Ugh. True, the sting wore off pretty quickly, but the whole “needle near the eye” thing wasn’t the most pleasant experience.
Then he decided he hadn’t numbed me enough. Well, that really made me hysterical. In went the needle again, and I swear I felt it graze my eye. (At least, it seemed that way to this hysterical patient). More stinging.
He then proceeded to lance the sty and remove the stuff, whatever it was. Uncomfortable, to say the least, especially when he told me “I am going to put a little pressure on this–let me know if it hurts.”
UMMMM YEAH! Ouch.
Then I got this amazingly not so cool eye patch. Man, I wanted a black leather one, so I could REALLY look like a pirate! *pout*
I thoroughly doused this one on the way home with tears of hysteria.
Pity me.

Many of you know by now that I have a polka dot addiction/obsession… whatever you want to call it. I see polka dots, and all of a sudden, I have a lot less money in my pocketbook.
Yes. Oh yes. My easter ensemble. To everyone who heard the crazy story behind this dress: wasn’t it worth it in the end??
